Kayaking

Paddling a kayak on the tranquil waters around the Galapagos Islands is an excellent way to explore. You can travel to sandy beaches where nonchalant sea lions bask on the shore and skirt the coastline while looking out for diving penguins. Keep an eye out for rays and sea turtles swimming alongside your kayak too.

Before you set off, you’ll be briefed by your English-speaking naturalist guide, who will also provide you with all the necessary equipment and safety gear. Then it’s time to strike out on your own to explore the serene waters of the coves and inlets. Called the “Enchanted Isles” by author Herman Melville, the Galapagos Islands is true primeval paradise and one that’s best explored by water, which puts you eye-level with the island’s marine life.
