What is the World Travel & Tourism Council?

“The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) represents the global private sector of Travel & Tourism, with a mission to ensure the sector is seamless, secure, safe, inclusive and sustainable.”

What is the Safe travels stamp and global protocols?

The Safe travels stamp is the world’s first global safety and hygiene stamp. The WTTC has put together an evolving, comprehensive set of protocols for the public and private sectors, providing global common standards to ensure safety of workers and travelers as we move to our new normal.

Why is the Safe travels stamp important?

This stamp allows travelers to recognize which governments, destinations, and companies have committed to providing the safest travel experience possible by adopting these safety and hygiene protocols.

While it is impossible to guarantee anything 100%, this stamp signifies which companies have agreed to follow these comprehensive and strict protocols, offering travelers the peace of mind that comes with traveling with a company dedicated to providing safe travels.

The Travelers’ Choice award was established in 2002, and is the highest honor TripAdvisor can bestow. Based on millions of reviews and opinions from travelers from around the world, this annual award recognizes the very best tourism establishments in terms of service, quality, customer satisfaction and more, across a range of categories.

How is the TripAdvisor Traveler’s Choice awarded?

As the name suggests, the Travelers’ Choice award is determined by travelers themselves and the reviews they write.

Each year, TripAdvisor combs through reviews, ratings, and raves from travelers everywhere, and use that info to award the very best.
